Chancery Cottage is the best of all worlds. Drive down the lane and you’ll feel like you’re a million miles away from the real world. But you’re also not far from everything you need. It’s beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by acres of open space. But it’s also within grabbing distance of some of Northumberland’s prettiest villages, relaxing (or challenging!) walks and diverting attractions.
The cottage is just a four minute drive from the nearest pub and there are others within quarter of an hour. A little further and you have pretty villages like Corbridge with its deli, bakery, cafes, restaurants. pubs and quirky shops. There are also plenty of lovely walks in the area, sailing at Derwent Reservoir, and attractions like Beamish open air museum. If the city calls, Newcastle and Durham are about half an hour away. Or you could just hole up and forget the rest of the world. With the large kitchen sitting room’s panoramic views, two pretty gardens, a log burner for chilly days, and a fire pit if you fancy some evening stargazing, you need never leave.
